Alternator & Battery Testing

Can load test 12 volt alternators rated up to 500 amp output & 12 volt batteries rated up to 1000 CCA. Can also test batteries with a digital battery analyzer.

Jump Starts Covering all of Chemung County, NY

The Service Truck is equipped with 25ft. of heavy duty jumper cables made with 4/0 copper wire & has 2 group size 65 batteries with 850 CCA each. This will provide more than enough power to jump start just about any vehicle on the road today.

During this service the battery terminals & connections will be inspected to verify that they are not loose or corroded. Once your vehicle has been jump started the battery charging voltage will be checked to verify that the battery will be recharged by the alternator.

You will need to drive your vehicle for 15-30 minutes after it is jump started to allow the alternator to charge the battery before shutting off the vehicle. If your battery keeps going dead you will need to have the battery tested & charging system inspected to determine the cause of your battery not holding a charge.
