Gray's Mobile Mechanic Service Limited Warranty.

All warranty claims must have an original invoice.​

 

Automotive Repair & Service Limited Warranty Period

Gray's Mobile Mechanic Service guarantees all new part(s) it supplies and related labor for repair or service for 12 months or 12,000 miles whichever comes first, from the day of completion of the repair or service. Excluding any repair or service using used/salvaged parts or components and/or any repair or service using customer supplied parts or components.

Gray's Mobile Mechanic Service guarantees all used/salvaged part(s) it supplies and related labor for repair or service for 90 days or 6,000 miles whichever comes first, from the day of completion of the repair or service. Excluding any repair or service using customer supplied parts or components.

Gray's Mobile Mechanic Service guarantees labor it supplies to install customer supplied parts for repair or service for 90 days or 3,000 miles whichever comes first, from the day of completion of the repair or service. This labor warranty only covers poor workmanship by Gray's Mobile Mechanic Service.

Small Engine, Equipment Repair & Service Limited Warranty Period

Gray's Mobile Mechanic Service guarantees all new part(s) it supplies and related labor for small engine, equipment & machinery repair, or service for 90 days from the day of completion of the repair or service. Excluding any repair or service using customer supplied parts or components.

Gray's Mobile Mechanic Service guarantees labor it supplies to install customer supplied parts for repair or service for 30 days from the day of completion of the repair or service. This labor warranty only covers poor workmanship by Gray's Mobile Mechanic Service.

Welding & Fabrication Limited Warranty Period

Gray's Mobile Mechanic Service guarantees all new part(s), supplies & materials it supplies and related labor for repair, service, and/or fabrication for 12 months from the day of completion of the repair, service, and/or fabrication.

Exclusions & Other Terms of the Limited Warranty

This warranty covers part(s) & material defects, poor workmanship, and labor to replace defective part(s) & materials provided/supplied by Gray's Mobile Mechanic Service only. No guarantee is provided for customer supplied part(s) & materials. No guarantee is provided for existing part(s) & materials not replaced and/or supplied by Gray's Mobile Mechanic Service.

This warranty will not apply to any vehicle, small engine, equipment, or any welding and/or fabrication work if it has been damaged by abnormal use, misuse, neglect, accident, alteration or "tampering with" (by anyone other than Gray's Mobile Mechanic Service)

This limited warranty does not cover the following: Ordinary/normal wear and tear. Failure due to accident or collision. Failure due to road hazards. Failure due to misuse, abuse, modification, or off-road use of vehicle. Failure due to lack of regular maintenance, or not maintaining correct fluid levels. Corrosion and/or damage or failures caused by corrosion. Any item, part(s) or component that is modified, altered, or repaired by anyone including, the vehicle owner, other than Gray's Mobile Mechanic Service. Damage resulting from fire, freezing, hail, storms, electrical malfunction, power surge, lightening, earthquake, flood, pest damage, or other acts of nature. Damage resulting from lack of maintenance, improper maintenance, alterations, misuse, abuse, vandalism caused by the vehicle owner and/or any other person. Part(s) that were not replaced and/or provided by Gray's Mobile Mechanic Service. Damage caused to other components of the vehicle, small engine, or equipment due to the failure of covered component, or damage caused to the covered component due to the failure of other components of vehicle. Repairs required by customer misuse, accident, neglect or alteration maintenance and wear items.

This limited warranty is conditioned on the vehicle being subjected only to normal use. This warranty is also conditioned on the vehicle, small engine, or equipment being regularly maintained in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommended service schedule, for which the owner agrees to provide evidence of, if necessary. Warranty repairs shall in no case exceed the cost of the original repair.

Should the vehicle, small engine, or equipment, malfunction within the limited warranty period Gray's Mobile Mechanic Service shall not be required to provide free diagnostics and/or an estimate of the repair and the customer is required to pay for diagnostics. Gray's Mobile Mechanic Service shall waive the charges/fees for the diagnostics if after diagnosing the issue and/or malfunction it is deemed to be covered under this warranty.

Failed parts will be replaced with identical parts. If identical parts are no longer available, similarly priced parts will be used. Customer may elect to upgrade to better quality parts at additional cost. Only those items that were replaced and billed on the original invoice are covered by this warranty.

If there is a defect in either part(s), materials or workmanship supplied by Gray's Mobile Mechanic Service within the warranty period, Gray's Mobile Mechanic Service has the option to perform remedial service work at no charge to you, replace the defective warranted part(s) or materials without charge to you, or refund the entire charge for the warranted repairs, minus any previous refunds.

This warranty period shall not be extended beyond the original length stated for any reason.

This is a non-transferable warranty.

This warranty is limited to the original named owner at the time of service and/or repair and is not transferable.

The owner of the vehicle, small engine, equipment, or property must be present during the warranty claim and/or diagnostic and repair work to approve and sign the acceptance of warranty work, upon completion by Gray's Mobile Mechanic Service.

You must pay for any non-warranty service you order to be performed at the same time as any warranty service.

You must keep a copy of the original repair invoice and present it when seeking service under this warranty. If warranty work is performed, you must temporarily surrender possession of the original repair invoice, or a legible copy of the same.

If repairs are required during the covered warranty period, all repairs will be made within Gray's Mobile Mechanic Service’s service area. Gray's Mobile Mechanic Service’s service area is 35 miles from Elmira, NY by road, not in a radius or as the crow flies. Gray's Mobile Mechanic Service obligation does not extend to bills contracted for by the owner elsewhere. To arrange for or call regarding warranty coverage contact Gray's Mobile Mechanic Service. All warranty claims and/or warranty repairs are done during normal business hours.

​With respect to any claim asserted by the owner, it is understood there is no right to recover or request compensation for: incidental, indirect, special, consequential, secondary, or punitive damages. Loss of use of the vehicle, towing charges, rental car, loss of time, inconvenience, rental cost, commercial loss, and/or consequential damages are excluded.

Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you. No other warranties, representations, or agreements have been made to the owner and owner has not specified that the vehicle shall be fit for any specific or intended purpose. Any implied warranty is limited to the minimum period permitted by Federal and/or New York State law. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights, which vary, from state to state.

IMPORTANT: This Warranty is not a guarantee that there are no other issues with the vehicle. Modern automobiles are very complicated, and multiple problems may exist. There will be instances when replacing any given component may not resolve the problem, even though all symptoms/tests/diagnostic pointed to that component being faulty. Additionally, a failed part or component can cause damage to other parts or components of vehicle, and the damage may not be apparent until disassembly and often until completion of the original repair. Therefore, it is not in the scope of this warranty to cover any additional repairs that may be needed. Customer will still be responsible for the original repair amount regardless of outcome. Customer may elect to perform further repairs at additional cost.

This warranty is in lieu of any other warranty, expressed or implied.

This warranty shall be null, and void and Gray's Mobile Mechanic Service shall not be liable for any damage or expenses, if the owner does not first grant Gray's Mobile Mechanic Service the opportunity to inspect, correct and/or replace the alleged problem and/or defective part and/or poor workmanship, before the owner incurs expenses or has work done by anyone else (including the owner) other than Gray's Mobile Mechanic Service.
